Checklist of rural life characteristics
The project partners have proposed a set of characteristics regarding rural life related to AF that need to be explored in each region on the topics of prevention and preparedness for influenza pandemic and avian flu. In the 1st partners’ meeting were discussed the most crucial characteristics of rural life. Each project partner collected information from their country of origin and one more Member State. Information from all the partners has been encoded in a map of rural life characteristics in the three European regions (Central-North, South, and Eastern). Based on this, a checklist has been developed where items are prioritized based on their potential or described risk using as criteria the severity and/or frequency .
